FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP Super Falcons Off To Australia For Training Tour Ahead FIFAWWC

On Sunday night, the coaching staff and players departed the nation.

In preparation for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the Super Falcons of Nigeria departed the country on Sunday to Melbourne, Australia for a training tour.

The Super Falcons will stay in Melbourne for 15 days, playing friendly matches there before the competition.

In Group B of the World Cup, Randy Waldrum’s charges will compete against Canada, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland.
On July 21, the nine-time African champions will play host to the Olympic winners, Canada.

On July 27 and July 31, respectively, the West Africans will compete against the co-host nation Australia and the Republic of Ireland at Lang Park in Brisbane.

Since their inception in 1991, the Super Falcons have participated in every FIFA Women’s World Cup.

In the United States of America in 1999, they reached the quarterfinals.
