Kenyan Premier League Ulinzi Stars confirm exit of KCB linked Mwalala

FKF Premier League outfit Ulinzi Stars have confirmed coach Bernard Mwalala has resigned from his role ahead of the new season.

In a statement published on their social media pages, the soldiers further announced the appointment of Senior Sergent Vincent Moriero Odhiambo in an acting capacity.

“The Ulinzi Stars management wishes to announce the Appointment of Senior Sergent Vincent Moriero Odhiambo, a dedicated and talented member of our coaching staff, will be taking charge as the interim coach,” read part of the statement,” adding: “He has also been an integral part of our team for several seasons and has worked closely with Bernard Mwalala and Other several coaches gaining invaluable experience and insights into our playing style, strategies, and team dynamics.”

The statement added: “It is with mixed emotions that we inform you of the resignation of our beloved head coach, Bernard Mwalala. He has played an instrumental role in shaping our team, leading us to numerous victories, and fostering a culture of dedication, teamwork, and excellence. We are deeply grateful for the contributions made by him and the impact he has had on our players, staff, and team as a whole.

“Thank you for being the heartbeat of our team. Together, we will continue to strive for greatness.”

Reports indicate Mwalala is headed to replace Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno at KCB.
