Premier League Partey missing from Arsenal squad for USA amid Saudi Arabia link

Ghana international Thomas Partey is one of seven Arsenal players who have not travelled with the squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer following interest from multiple Saudi Pro League clubs and Juventus. Partey took part in Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Nurnberg last Thursday but was missing from the squad as they boarded their flight to the United States on Sunday.

Speaking on the absence of the Black Star, the Gunners said: “We expect Emile Smith Rowe and Thomas Partey to join us next week,” adding: “The players who are not part of the squad will be working hard on their fitness and/or recovering from injury.”
