Uganda Done Deal: Angolan Carlos Da Silva Cungulo fourth signing for KCCA FC

Ugandan Premier League side KCCA FC have continued with their transfer activities after unveiling the services of Angolan Carlos Da Silva Cungulo.

“Angolan Carlos Da Silva Cungulo has signed for KCCA for a period of two years,” the club announced on their official website, adding: “Da Silva penned a two-year contract until 2025 and he becomes the second Angolan to join KCCA in this transfer window.”

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Da Silva said: “I’m happy for the opportunity and want to make a constructive contribution to the Ugandan football landscape,’ adding: “I believe I can contribute so much to this team. I cannot wait for the games to start. I am excited to see the fans fill the stadium when the competitions start.”

Da Silva, who was born in Luanda and is a citizen of Angola is a central midfielder and had previously played for Club 1 De Agosto, C.R.D. Libolo, Progresso, and GD Interclube all in Angola and also turned out for Mirbat SC in Oman.

Da Silva, who reported to pre-season training on Sunday, becomes KCCA’s fourth signing ahead of the 2023-24 season and also becomes new coach Sergio Traguil’s fourth signing at the Kasasiro Boys. He is the second foreigner after Brazilian Michael Vinicius Silva De Morais penned a two-year deal until 2025.
