Manchester United Ten Hag Confirms Hojlund Availability For Arsenal Game

Rasmus Hojlund will play against Arsenal in Sunday’s Premier League match for Manchester United, according to Erik ten Hag.

The Danish international, who arrived in Manchester with a minor injury suffered during preseason training with former club Atalanta, has not yet made an appearance for the Reds.

However, the manager announced that Rasmus will be available for selection when United travels to Arsenal on Sunday (16:30 BST).

“Yes, he’s had a good training week,” said Erik. “Tomorrow we will have a final training session but he’s doing well, he’s responding well,” said Erik.

“So, yeah, he’ll be available for Sunday’s game. I think he’s ready to start.”

In the media meeting on Friday, Ten Hag was also questioned about Altay Bayindir, a new addition we revealed this morning, and whether or not the Turkish custodian will play in the match at the Emirates Stadium.

The manager affirmed, “He will be in the squad as well, Altay.”

“So, [we’re] happy we have the goalkeeper group fully there.

“I think we have a very good keeper group with the arrival of Altay.”

Amad, Tom Heaton, Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount all remain out of the weekend’s match due to injury.

Arsenal, however, must deal with their own fitness issues. Jurrien Timber, a Dutch defender, has been missing for a while.

Takehiro Tomiyasu will be available after serving his one-match suspension against Fulham last weekend, and Gabriel Jesus returned to Arsenal training last week.
