AFCON Sao Tome & Principe Players Arrive Uyo For Super Eagles

The Sao Tome & Principe national football team’s players and officials have arrived in Uyo ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

Around 11.50 am, the group landed at the Victor Attah International Airport and checked into the Rosmohr Hotel in the Ewet Housing Estate in Uyo.

The Sao Tome and Principe Football Association sent 21 players, coaches, and officials to a dead rubber match in Nigeria.

In the qualification, the True Patriots will try to win for the first time.

The West Africans have just one point after five games, placing them last in Group A.

The encounter is scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.

The Super Eagles have already qualified for the 2023 AFCON and need just a point from the game to secure top position ahead of Guinea-Bissau.
