Speaking to La Gazzetta, Handanovic said he liked the Indomitable Lion’s words when he was leaving Inter Milan but not his behaviour.

“I liked those words, but I didn’t like his behavior in the first two months when he wasn’t playing”, he said.

“But then he was direct with me and I was always consistent with him and I helped him too.

“No one said that last season I had injuries that really hurt my chances: broken wrist, broken finger, strained calf.

“But I was always on the bench with the rest of the team, even when I wasn’t available. I will never go against this club”
