Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has apologised to Naples head coach Rudi Garcia and his teammates after his angry reaction while being subbed off against Bologna on Sunday (0-0).

The French manager saw his team leave with a goalless draw (0-0) from Bologna on Sunday, in a meeting devoid of any genius, but marked above all by an incident at the end of the match.

Victor Osimhen first missed a penalty before being replaced by the French coach for the rest of the match. A choice which did not please the Nigerian striker at all, who ostensibly displayed his anger towards his coach.

This situation revives the debate on Garcia’s already threatened future among the Partenopei.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the tension has dropped somewhat. Victor Osimhen would have apologized to his coach and the Neapolitan leaders will not sanction him.

The reigning champions are currently number seven in Serie A after five matches (8 points). Rudi Garcia’s band hosts Udinese for the seventh day of the championship.
