Bayern Munich have finally reacted to the controversy regarding Noussair Mazraoui after the Moroccan right-back showed support to Palestine on social media.

The 26-year old reported some posts on social media which are showing support to Palestine on their conflict with Israel.

Wordly-known German media BILD wrote on the situation earlier on Monday and accused Mazraoui of supporting terrorism.

The headline stirred many reactions and the Moroccan international was undergoing a backlash on social media until Bayern Munich react.

The Bavarian side vowed to hold a meeting with their player when he’ll be back from the international break.

“FC Bayern immediately contacted Noussair Mazroui following his Instagram posts on Sunday. The player is currently in Africa with the Morocco national team. After his return, a detailed personal conversation with the club’s management in Munich is planned”, the club statement reads.

“Regardless of that, everyone, including every employee and every player, knows what values ​​FC Bayern stands for. We expressed this publicly and unequivocally in a post immediately after the terrorist attack on Israel. We’re concerned about our friends in Israel and stand with them. At the same time, we hope for peaceful coexistence for all people in the Middle East”
