Knowing the game will be tough away, Pharaohs proceeded by counter-attacks to hammer their opponents.
Then in the 18th minute, Mahmoud Trezeguet opened the score against the run of play after a sumptuous back heel assist from Mostafa Mohamed.
That opener was a huge blow for the local team which lost control of it’s temper with Tyresone Fornah being showed the red card in the 34th minute.
With that inferiority, the Leone Stars still managed not to concede another goal before half-time.
But it was just a delay as Mohamed Salah found Trezeguet in the 62nd minute for the second goal which sealed the victory for Pharaohs.
It’s six points in two games for Egypt which comfortably sit on top of their Group pending the matchday 3 and 4 in March 2024 after the AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
