Nigeria Women Football League NWFL Goes On Break To Resume January 10

The Nigeria Women’s Football League is excited to announce, in the spirit of the holidays, that the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership will take a well-earned Christmas break after an exciting Matchday Six in the middle of the week.

Fans are looking forward to the NWFL Premiership returning in the second week of January 2024 after a well-earned two-week break and joyous celebrations for players and officials.

Nkechi Obi, the NWFL chairman, has seen firsthand some amazing performances that highlight the nation’s female football players’ indisputable talent and serve as evidence for the Women’s Football Rising initiative.

Chairman Nkechi Obi and her board wish the fantastic players, the committed club management, and the passionate fans, whose unflinching support has been crucial to the league’s outstanding performance thus far, a very happy holiday season.

In a statement, NWFL boss Nkechi Obi expressed, “My sincere wishes go out to the incredible players showcasing outstanding skills, the tireless club management, and the enthusiastic fans who infuse our league with vibrancy.

On January 10, 2024, the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership will restart. Teams will be vying for a berth in the Super Six finals of the league, which promises to be an exciting and competitive event.

Following Matchday Six in the middle of the week, Heartland Queens and Edo Queens are presently leading Group A and B with 11 and 12 points, respectively.
