AFCON AFCON 2023: Salah reveals injury condition after Liverpool return

Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has discussed his injury condition and gave assurance of returning to the national team in Ivory Coast.

The Liverpool forward picked a hamstring injury during their 2-2 draw against Ghana in the second fixture of the Africa Cup of Nations and later decided to return to England for treatment.

Following his arrival in Liverpool, Salah used his social media to send a message to his critics, reiterating the fact he would rejoin Egypt’s squad ‘as soon as possible’ to help the team.

“Yesterday, I started the therapy and rehabilitation program, and I will do everything possible to be ready as soon as possible and return to the national team as agreed from the beginning. Also, I love it [Egypt] and love its people 🇪🇬… Try harder.”
