The 2023-2024 Nigeria Women Football League NWFL resumes for the second stanza on Wednesday as defending champions , Delta Queens look to get their feet back on track when they travel to Osun State to play against Sunshine Queens.
The Tosan Blankson tutored ladies who are currently sixth position in Group B with nine point will be hoping to get their first away win of the season on Matchday 8.
Delta Queens defeated Sunshine Queens 3-1 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba on Matchday 7 of the NWFL.

Speaking inna n Interview, head coach of Delta Queens, Tosan Blackson said the objectives of the team is to qualify for the Super Six playoff even though they don’t top the group.
“Our target is that be in the Super 6 even though we are not going to top the group, we have to qualify.
“The first stanza wasn’t good enough and all the points lost in the first stanza will be regained in the second stanza.
The head coach revealed that the club has also added three players to thr team to compete favourably and assure that they will be given playing time.
“With the calibre of players we have in the team, and the way they are training, definitely we will continue from our impressive result before the league went on break.”
“We have three new players who have also be training with the team once they are able to integrate into our pattern then we will unleash them.”
