Victor Boniface, an attacker for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Bayer Leverkusen, has been nominated for Rookie Player of the Year after putting on a standout performance this season.
Following an outstanding season with the Union St Gillaloise in the Belgian Jupiler League, Boniface joined the Bundesliga team in the offseason.
Before an injury halted his progress with the squad, the Nigerian international had earned Rookie Player of the Month four times in a row after arriving in Germany.

The talented athlete scored two goals in a row despite the injury. Along with Ian Matsen, Maximilian Beier, and Xavi Simon, he was nominated on Monday morning.
Last weekend, Leverkusen trounced Bochum 0–5, with Boniface scoring one goal.
