Last Thursday, the 18-year-old former Liberty Professionals youth player who had trails at the Spanish giants Real Madrid but was not offered a contract was unveiled but his club refused to disclose details about his transfer.
“I just got to Italy with my teammates. We are playing Inter Milan on Thursday and I am in the 23-man squad,” Muniru is quoted by Goal.com Ghana.
“I hope to do my best to help my new team get to the top and also get a call into the Ghana national Under-20 team.”
Muniru has been included in CFR Cluj’s squad that will travel to the San Siro to play against Inter Milan on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League. The player is said to be a like-for-like replacement for Senegalese Modou Sougou who now plays for Olympic Marseille.
