After unveiling in February his intention to create an MLS club in Miami (USA ), David Beckham announced Monday his plan to build a stadium for his future team.

With a capacity of 35,000 seats, the enclosure will be built on a plot of 14.5 hectares in Port Miami on the waterfront of the town of Florida. Priced at € 144 million, the stadium will be built near the hall of the basketball team of Miami Heat. The structure will also have a hotel, a shopping mall and parking.

“I asked my team to develop ideas for the stadium, so that it incorporates the best of Miami. Even though we are only at the beginning of the creation process of our team, I think we thought something Miami can be proud of and that will resonate around the world,” said Beckham.

The stadium could be ready in 2018. But until its construction, the club of the former English footballer, which will enter the MLS in 2017, will train in the baseball stadium of Marlins or the football stadium of Dolphins.
