Africa Nigeria : 4th March set for CBN Junior tennis

According to press statements released by sponsors of the International Tennis Academy in Lagos the tournament is opened to both boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18 years and this is to ensure that young talents are discovered earlier and nurtured to limelight.

According to the statement by the Head External Communications, CBN, Isaac Okoroafor, he said: “The management of the bank has noted with satisfaction the steady development and success recorded in the championship as players from the CBN junior circuit have always represented Nigeria in the African junior tennis championships and other international competitions,” this was a statement released by the Head of External Communications for Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The Championship is to hold at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Race Course from 4th March and through to 9th March in Lagos.

The competition has had the likes of Adekoge, Biola Akewula and Christian Paul who have made quick moves to the senior category during the 7th year.

CBN added that several scholarships and awards have been dedicated to tennis players who have won full sports scholarships to higher institutions in America, Holland and South Africa.
