Poland-based Daylon Claasen was the first overseas-based player to team up with his national teammates at the Al-Massira Airport in Agadir, Morocco upon arrival on Tuesday.

Last night, the team was joined by Bongani Khumalo, Kgosi Ntlhe, Tokelo Rantie and Dean Furman (all from England), as well as Darren Keet, Anele Ngcongca and Ayanda Patosi (Belgium).

Defender Xulu, who plays his club football in Russia, is the only player yet to arrive but was expected to arrive in the afternoon (Wednesday, 9 October) but will miss the squad’s first training session in the morning.

The Bafana Bafana team arrived in Agidir after a marathon flight that took them through Cairo, Egypt and Morocco’s economic hub city of Casablanca.

“The spirit is high and the boys are raring to go. This is the beginning of a new era,” said coach Gordon Igesund upon arrival at the final destination.
