The UEFA Champions League entered Matchday 3 with Group A to D teams involved in action as Liverpool and Bayern Munich maintaining their impressive performance.

Group A
Lokomotiv 1-1 Atlético
Atletico Madrid picked a vital point away from home following a 1-1 draw against Lokomotiv Moscow.
They La Liga side once again conceded for the third time which is their longest Champions League games without a clean sheet.
Locomotiv have their goalkeeper Guilherme to thank as he produced a string of fine saves to frustrate Atlético.
José María Giménez’s first-half header put the visitors in front for just seven minutes, Anton Miranchuk’s spot kick levelling the scores.
Salzburg 2-6 Bayern
In the second Group A game, champions Bayern Munich remain unstoppable as they ran a 6-2 away riot against Red Bull Salzburg.
The Bavarians have now won 14 Champions League in a row.
A game that was thought to be heading to a stalemate saw Bayern turned tide on it’s tail as they scored four goals.
Mergim Berisha gave Salzburg the lead just four minutes into the game before Robert Lewandowski levelled from the spot.
Rasmus Nissen own goal at the brink of the first half break put Bayern in front.
Masaya Okugawa coolly slotted in for 2-2 minutes after coming off the bench in the second half.
Jerome Boateng restored the lead in the 79th minute before late goals from Leroy Sané, Robert Lewandowski – his second – and Lucas Hernández completed Bayern’s cruise against Salzburg.
Group B
Shakhtar 0-6 Mönchengladbach
It was a free scoring game for Monchengladbach who outrightly blown Shakhtar Donetsk away.
The Bundesliga side equalled their biggest biggest European Cup away win – a 6-0 success at EPA Larnaca of Cyprus in their first game in the competition, in September 1970.
An Alassane Pléa hat-trick – his first goals in the competition – helped Gladbach to their biggest ever Champions League win. Pléa’s early finish and long-range stunner, Valeriy Bondar’s own goal and Ramy Bensebaini’s header made it 4-0 before Lars Stindl notched the fifth and Pléa completed his treble.
Real Madrid 3-2 Inter
Group C
Manchester City 3-0 Olympiacos
Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus returned to the squad as he helped the Cityens to a comfortable 3-0 win against Olympiacos.
Both teams were meeting in the UEFA Champions League for the first time and City claimed the victory to continue their perfect start .
Goals by Ferrán Torres, Gabriel Jesus and João Cancelo helped City to victory.
Jesus has netted six times in his last five Champions League appearances.
Porto 3-0 Marseille
Porto boosted their hopes of progress, moving three points clear of third with a comfortable triumph over Marseille.
Moussa Marega and captain Sérgio Oliveira scored either side of a first-half Dimitri Payet penalty miss for Marseille.
Luis Díaz finished a well-worked team move to seal victory.
For Marseille it was their 12th defeat.
They found themselves on the bad side of the record as they have now equalled the record for most consecutive Champions League defeats (12 with Anderlecht).
Group D
Midtjylland 1-2 Ajax
All the goals came in the first 18 minutes in Denmark, Antony putting the visitors in front inside the first 60 seconds before Dušan Tadić smashed in a second 12 minutes later. Anders Dreyer quickly brought the home team back into contention with their first group goal, but Midtjylland were unable to find a second and slipped to their third defeat.
