Foot Africa Fouzi Lekjaa : Prominent Candidacy For FIFA Council

The President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa submitted his candidacy for the FIFA Council member. The election will take place at the next CAF General Assembly in Rabat on 12 March 2021. This is Morocco’s first application to this world sporting body.

Much involved in the development of football on the African continent, Fouzi Lekjaa holds several positions in the bodies and commissions of world and continental football. Since July 2019, he is the second CAF vice-president. And since 2017 he has been running the CAF Finance Commission. Also since 2017, he has been Vice-President of the Commission for the Organization of Inter-Club Competitions and the Management of the Licensing System for clubs within the CAF. Internationally, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa has been a member of the FIFA Governance Commission since 2018.

This year, Fouzi Lekjaa was at the origin of the initiative to set up a reflection on the development of football infrastructure in Africa. An initiative resulting in a seminar of the CAF to which FIFA was associated last January in Rabat.
