Africa Soccer NPFL: Enyimba, Abia Warriors opening derby rescheduled

The 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) opener derby between Enyimba FC and Abia Warriors has been postponed to Tuesday December 29.
 
The 2020/2021 NPFL season finally got underway on Sunday after nine months of non-league action.
 
Enyimba in a statement on its official website said the reason for the postponement was due to broadcast reasons.
 
According to the statement, the game will be playednl at the Enyimba Stadium.
 
The 2020/21 NPFL opener against Abia Warriors has been shifted to Tuesday December 29.
 

“The Abia derby, originally scheduled for Monday December 28, was moved by twenty-four hours for broadcast reasons.

“The fixture will come off at the Enyimba Stadium at 4pm. It will be the first NPFL fixture to be played at the venue since the 3-0 victory against Sunshine Stars on March 15.

“Although spectators won’t be allowed into the venue in observance of Covid-19 protocols, fans can enjoy live coverage of the game on the NPFL.tv app and on NTA.

Also, the game between Rivers United and Enugu Rangers was also postponed to Wednesday 30th.
 
The game will come up at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
