Egypt Zamalek Coach Carteron Optimistic Ahead Of Cairo Derby Against Ahly

Zamalek beat Smouha 2-1 in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday. And their coach Patrice Carteron revealed that his team is ready to face arch-rivals Ahly next week. Carteron is optimistic ahead of the game.

Zamalek are scheduled to face rivals and nearest challengers Ahly at the Cairo derby again on Monday in a game to revenge on their last loss two week ago. The Whites lost 2-1 to Ahly in the postponed game from week four of the Egyptian Premier League.

I was depressed from losing the previous game against Ahly as we were the better side in the game. And we lost more score chances.” Carteron said at the post-game against Smouha press conference.

I am happy to start the game against Ahly with a full squad without injuries or suspensions.” The Zamalek coach said.

I expect the competition between the two teams will be tough after they also claimed a victory on Thursday.” He added.

Zamalek are on top of the Egyptian Premier League teams’ table with 44 points. They are four points over rivals Ahly who still have two games in hand.
