Dstv Premiership Gavin Hunts responds to critics over Chiefs’ poor run in Dstv Premiership

Gavin Hunt

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt hit back at critics over the abysmal run of the club in the South African top-flight and vows to be back stronger next season.

Amakhosi are just 10th on the league table with only three games before the end of the season. And despite the fact that Hunt and his men are one step in the CAF Champions league semifinal after their 4-0 win over Simba in quarters’ first leg, the critics are yet to stop

And this starts annoying the 56-year old who confirmed to have been listening to the noise around Kaizer Chiefs.

“As a football coach, it’s all about the next game. I’ve always kept it low-key, I like to keep a low profile. There’s a lot of noise going on around but I’ve always kept quiet,” Gavin Hunt said as per Kickoff.

“Don’t gloat, don’t say too much, I think it’s important I just let the records speak. But I don’t say too much, I don’t get too down when we’re down but it is and has been the most testing [season] for me, personally.

“If you talk about personally, it has been, you’ve just got to look [at history]. It’s taken a lot of patience, a lot of endeavour, a lot of work, but it’s fine.

“I know I’ll come out of this stronger, personally, that’s for sure. And whatever happens, happens, you know. Believe you me, I’ll be back stronger next year, that’s for sure.”
