South African midfielder Bongani Zungu has completed his return to France to rejoin his parent club Amiens SC in the French second-tier.

The 28-year old joined the Ligue 2 side in 2017 from Portuguese top-flight side Vitoria Guimares.

However, he was forced to go out during his third season with the club as he was loaned to Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers.

And now that the Steven Gerrard’s decided not to make the deal permanent, Bongani Zungu will rejoin Amiens.

According to French outlet Courrier Picard, Zungu will return to France this Wednesday and undergo a mandatory seven-days isolation due to Covid-19 related rules.

Then he could join his teammates in the club though it is uncertain that he will extend his current deal with them as his contract expires at the end of this year.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns star reportedly refused to join an unnamed Portuguese side.

In addition, Bongani Zungu made 59 appearances with Amiens so far, scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist.
