Gabriel Magalhaes, a defender for Arsenal, has extended his deal with the team through 2027.

The international Brazilian player moved to Arsenal in September 2020 from Lille for a rumored £23.14 million.

He is a young player with a strong work ethic, according to Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal. “It’s a pleasure working with Gabi every day.”

The new deal Gabriel signed extends his initial contract by two years.

The 24-year-old has nine goals in 81 games for the Gunners across all competitions.

“I think when we look at a central defender we look at partnerships,” added Arteta.

“I think Gabi has made William Saliba a better player and I think Willy helps him to be the same.

“A winning team needs to have a spine, play at a really high level and keep clean sheets.

“We are doing that a lot.”

With nine wins and one loss through ten games, the Gunners lead Manchester City by four points at the top of the Premier League.
