Premier League Tottenham players to refund fans for humiliating loss against Newcastle

Tottenham players have decided to pay their fans who went to Newcastle on Sunday the amount of their tickets following their humiliating 6-1 loss at St James’ Park.

The Spurs suffered a heavy defeat away and their chances to qualifiy for the Champions league next season is now in jeopardy.

The loss saw club interim coach Cristian Stellini releived of his duties at the hel of the team.

With Tottnehma looking for a new manager to replace permanently Antonio Conte who was sacked few weeks ago, Harry Kane and teammates took a strong decision regarding their fasn.

The team decided to pay them their tickets for the trip to Newcastle whcih ended in sorrow for everyone inside the club.

Tottenham players statement

“We understand your frustration, your anger. It wasn’t good enough. We know words aren’t enough in situations like this but believe us, a defeat like this hurts.

“We appreciate your support, home and away, and with this in mind we would like to reimburse fans with the cost of their match tickets from St James’ Park.

“We know this does not change what happened on Sunday and we will give everything to put things right against Manchester United on Thursday evening when, again, your support will mean everything to us.

“Together – and only together – can we move things forward.”
