AFCON U-17 : Morocco defeats Mali to join Senegal in final

Morocco earned the last spot for the AFCON U-17 final following their win over Mali in the penalty session on Sunday evening (0-0; 6-5).

It took the penalty shootouts to decide between the two teams which separated on a goalless draw at the end of regulation time.

And Moroccans won by 6 shots against 5 for the Malians who first took a 2-0 lead in the beginning.

But Morocco goalkeeper made two saves to turn things around for his country and they will face Senegal on Friday for the final.

Prior to the final, Mali will take on Burkina Faso for the third-place match on Thursday.

As a reminder, all of the four semi-finalists are qualified for the upcoming U17 FIFA World Cup.
