Nigeria Premier League NPFL: Enyimba Pick Super Six Ticket As Insurance Sets Unbeaten Record

On the final day of the regular season on Sunday, three additional teams—Remo Stars, Enyimba, and Sunshine Stars—earned spots in the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL Super Six.

Remo Stars defeated Kwara United 4-0 in Ikenne to qualify for the competition.

Sunday Odunsi and Andy Okpe scored the other goals, leaving Philip Odubia with a hat trick.

In Group B, Daniel Ogunmodede’s team came in second place to Bendel Insurance.

Enyimba, who have won nine championships, tied Shooting Stars at 0-0 in Ibadan to tie for third place in the group.

After defeating Dakkada 3-0 in Akure, Sunshine Stars joined Rivers United and Lobi Stars in the Group B playoffs.

On the nine minute mark, Michael Olalusi gave the Owena Waves the lead.

The second was added in the 27th minute by Achi Nnaemeka.

Two minutes before the end, Emmanuel Udom scored the third goal.

Despite defeating Lobi Stars 2-0 at the New Jos Stadium, Wikki Tourists were demoted.
