Uganda Done Deal: Angolan Etienne Katenga seals move to KCCA FC

Ugandan Premier League side KCCA FC have confirmed the acquisition of Angolan player Etienne Katenga.

A statement on the Kasariro Boys’ official website confirmed: “Angolan Etienne Katenga has signed for KCCA FC,” adding: “Etienne penned a two-year deal until 2025 and he becomes the third Angolan to join for KCCA FC in this transfer window. Katenga, a citizen of Angola, is a winger / forward and has previously played for Asa FC, Saurimo, and CD Lunda Sul.”

What did Katenga say after putting pen to paper: “This is a club with a great history and tradition, and I’m excited to be a part of it,” adding: “I know that I’m joining a team of great players, and I’m looking forward to working with them and helping the team achieve success.”

Etienne becomes KCCA and Sergio Daniel Traguil’s fifth signing ahead of the 2023-24 season after Brazilians Joao Gabriel, Vinicius Michael, Angolans Emilson Gonzaga, and Cungulo Da Silva.
