Nigeria First Lady Hosts Super Falcons After World Cup Exit

Following their return from the 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup, the Super Falcons were received by Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.

Following their return from Australia where they had left the tournament in the round of 16 against England, the players were welcomed by the First Lady at the State House in Abuja on Monday.

Onome Ebi, a captain, Christy Ucheibe, a midfielder, and Tochukwu Oluehi, a goalkeeper, are the players who were accepted.

Ibrahim Gusau, president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF’s general secretary, and a few members of the team’s coaching staff were also there.

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, hosted a reception for Rasheed Ajibade and Rofiat Imuran on Sunday.

In Australia and New Zealand’s ongoing World Cup, the Falcons advanced to the round of 16.

In the quarterfinal round, England defeated Randy Waldrum’s team 4-2 after 120 minutes of scoreless play.
