AFCON AFCON 2023Q : Andre Onana returns to Cameroon NT for Burundi clash

As expected, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been called up by Cameroon head coach Rigobert Song for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations last qualifying match against Burundi in September.

The 27-year old announced his retirement from international football after a burst-up with Indomitable Lions coach Rigobert Song during the World Cup in Qatar.So far, Cameroon government multiplied negotiations between the two parties and have finally managed to convince him to come out of his retirement.

Cameroon is taking on Burundi on September 12 and must get at least a point from the game in order to book their place for the next Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire next year.
