Tanzania Unstoppable Yanga SC put five past JKT Tanzania to move top

Tanzania Mainland Premier League champions Young Africans (Yanga SC) assumed the leadership of the league after hammering JKT Tanzania 5-0 in a one-sided fixture on Tuesday.

The game at Azam Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday saw the Timu ya Mwananchi grab a second successive win netting five goals in each. Yanga, who were the better side from the first whistle, took a deserved lead courtesy of Stephanie Aziz Ki, who found the back of the net at the stroke of half-time.

In the 54th minute, Zambia international Kennedy Musonda increased the tally before Kouassi Yao scored probably a goal-of-the-season contender in the 64th minute. Then a brace from Max Nzengeli sealed the show for the champions, who have now put behind the net 10 goals in two matches with zero conceded goals.

However, JKT Tanzania started well the game as they managed to hold the hosts until late in the first half when their defense was at last unlocked.
