Prior to the Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Sao Tome & Principe, head coach Jose Peseiro has arrived in Uyo.

Peseiro, who just extended his contract as the head coach of Nigeria’s national team, arrived in Uyo on Tuesday, September 5.

On Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria will play host to Sao Tome and Principe.

On Wednesday, September 6, the Super Eagles camp will commence in Uyo in preparation for the AFCON qualification match against the bottom-placed True Patriots.

Although the Eagles have already qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, they still want to finish first to beat Guinea Bissau, which takes on Sierra Leone.

Super Eagles players who have been invited are anticipated at camp starting on Wednesday, and practise is anticipated to start that day.
