FIFA World Cup Messiless Argentina Thrash Bolivia In 2026 World Cup Qualifier

Despite having their leader Lionel Messi rested, Argentina defeated Bolivia 3-0 on Tuesday to earn their second victory of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Messi’s replacement as captain, Angel Di Maria, excelled, contributing two assists prior to halfway.

With a header from a free kick by Angel Di Maria in the 42nd minute, Nicolas Tagliafico increased the advantage and scored his first goal for the World Cup champions Argentina.

In the 83rd minute, Nicolas Gonzalez’s forceful effort secured the victory.
