Prior to their game with Luton Town in the Premier League on Thursday, Alex Iwobi fully trained with his new Fulham teammates.

The member of the Nigerian national team parted ways with Everton on deadline day after signing a five-year deal with the Cottagers that runs through June 30, 2028.

Iwobi was unable to play against Manchester City for Fulham since his move was not finished in time for him to be included in the team that travelled to the Etihad Stadium, injury or not.

He was injured on Sunday, when the Super Eagles played So Tomé and Principe in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, and he was unable to add to his 63 international caps for the Super Eagles.

Iwobi seems to have fully healed from the injury given that he took part in all of the workout’s exercises without any problems.

During the rondo practise, the Hale End Academy graduate engaged in both ballwork and sprinting drills.

After serving with the Super Eagles, Calvin Bassey was overjoyed to see his international comrade Iwobi again.

Before the start of the season, Bassey spotted Iwobi and immediately offered him a bear embrace and a quick conversation.

Iwobi will be re-evaluated by Fulham manager Marco Silva on Friday before it is decided whether or not to put him in the matchday squad for the Hatters’ visit.
