CAF CAF Orders Minute Of Silence For Morocco Earthquake Victims

In remembrance of the victims of the devastating earthquake in Morocco and the floods in Libya, CAF has declared that all of its football matches would observe a moment of silence.

In order to commemorate and honour those who lost their lives as a result of the earthquake in Morocco and the floods in Libya, CAF insists that a moment of silence will be observed prior to all of its football matches, including the CAF Super Cup 2023, the CAF Champions League, and the Confederations Cup.

According to reports, the two terrible calamities that recently wreaked havoc on the North African countries claimed over 10,000 lives.

The first leg of the second preliminary round of the Champions League and Confederation Cup will be played this weekend, and at each of the match locations there will be a moment of silence held.

On Sunday, September 17, 2023, one minute of silence will be observed before the match between Ghana’s Medeama SC and Guinea’s Horoya AC in the Champions League at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Additionally, when Dreams FC plays Sierra Leone’s FC Kallon in the Confederation Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, a moment of silence will be held.
