Africa Soccer AFL: Finidi Optimistic Of Turning The Result In Morocco

Enyimba International’s coach, Finidi George, said that the team is in Morocco to make up for their defeat in the first leg of the African Football League.

The People’s Elephant, who have fallen 0-1 to their opponents at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, will have a mountain to climb when they play Wydad Casablanca in the second leg of the African Football League quarterfinal.

The first leg was won by the Moroccan powerhouses by a single goal in Uyo, and Enyimba needs to score two goals without giving up in order to reverse the outcome and go to the competition’s semifinal.

“If the match was today, I would have been concerned about not getting enough rest, but the match is tomorrow and we have a good amount of time to prepare for it.

“We have a young team and all the players have dreams and we are here to achieve victory and qualification.

This will happen if all the players deliver a good performance”, he said during the pre-match conference.

The second leg was earlier scheduled for Wednesday but due to flight delay, CAF postponed the game to Thursday.
