Transfers DONE DEAL: Ex-Gor Mahia star Peter Lwasa joins KCCA FC

Peter Lwasa has penned a contract with Ugandan Premier League outfit KCCA FC until the end of the 2023–24 season.

Lwasa, an attacking midfielder, is the second signing for KCCA in the mid-season transfer window. Lwasa, who is also comfortable playing on the right and left flanks, has been brought in to add firepower to KCCA’s attack.

He has previously played for URA FC before going on to play for Kenyan sides Sofapaka, Kariobangi Sharks, Gor Mahia, and also DR Congo’s FC Lubumbashi Sport.

Lwasa spoke to the club media upon completion of his move and said: “I am happy for this opportunity to join KCCA. To be honest when the club approached me I did not have to think twice about it. I want to contribute to the current project and that is why I am here.

“I want to help the club achieve its objectives and I believe together with the rest of the group we can achieve something.”

Lwasa’s contract has a clause for further extension at the end of the 2023–24 season.
