Premier League Boost for Klopp as Mohamed Salah returns to Liverpool training

Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has returned to Liverpool training for the first time since picking up a hamstring injury at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The Pharaoh sustained a hamstring injury during the team’s group stage 2-2 draw against Ghana and was not able to feature in the Round of 16 fixture against DR Congo which they lost on penalties to exit the tournament.

Despite returning early to Anfield, Salah still missed several crucial games for Liverpool against Chelsea, Arsenal, and most recently Burnley as well. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had revealed that Salah could return to training sessions next week; however, it appears he made a premature return.

Salah was seen at the AXA Training Centre as he took part in the full team training sessions ahead of their next game at Brentford. Having missed almost four weeks of action, Salah is expected to be limited to substitute action if he is indeed fit enough before of the Brentford trip.
