Manchester United Shaw Sets To Miss Rest Of The Season Due To Injury

The Manchester United team announced on Wednesday that defender Luke Shaw might not be able to finish the Premier League season because of a muscle issue that will likely keep him out for several months.

The 28-year-old hobbled off during United’s 2-1 victory against Luton Town on Sunday. This season, he has only appeared in 15 games across all competitions after missing three months due to injury.

“Further assessment is still required to determine the severity but we expect him to be absent for a few months,” the United said.

United, which is sixth in the league and hoping to finish in the top four, is severely harmed by Shaw’s injury.

His chances of competing for England at this year’s European Championship may possibly be impacted by the injury.
