Super Eagles and FC Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi, has completed a successful surgery procedure in San Francisco.

The defender travelled to Ivory Coast in 2023 as a member of the Nigerian Super Eagles squad for the African Cup of Nations.

With the exception of the semifinal encounter against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, he took part in every game.

When Zaidu returned, he experienced a recurrence of the injury he had incurred in the AFCON while playing for his club.

He had surgery, and according to news from Portugal, Professor Jose Carlos Nozoronha oversaw the good outcome of the procedure.

The Nigerian international won’t be able to play until the next season, although he is anticipated to continue his recuperation.
