African players abroad Olunga goal not enough as Al Duhail fall to Al-Wakrah

Harambee Stars Captain Michael Olunga scored for his club Al Duhail, but they lost 2-1 to Al-Wakrah in a Qatari league match at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al-Wakrah on Sunday.

The lanky forward found the back of the net in the 25th minute to put his side ahead for a 1-0 lead at the half-time break. However, Wakrah came back a more rejuvenated side in the second half and they scored through K A Sabah in the 62nd minute and M Benyettou in the added minutes.

Olunga’s Duhail, are sixth on the log with 19 points after 19 rounds of matches. They have suffered more defeats than wins.
