All African Games AAG: Flying Eagles Beat South Sudan To Claim First Win

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles defeated South Sudan 1-0 in their second Group B match at the 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana, on Monday,

The Flying Eagles entered the match fresh off a 2-1 defeat to Uganda.

The Flying Eagles’ hero was Sadiq Isiyaka, whose second-half penalty kick was sufficient to seal the victory.

On Friday, the Flying Eagles will play their last group match against Senegal.

In their second Group B match on Monday, the Senegalese were defeated 1-0 by Uganda.

Uganda’s victory has guaranteed them a spot in the men’s football tournament semifinals.

For the Ladan Bosso men to advance to the semifinals, a draw with Senegal should be sufficient.
