Tanzania Premier League champions Young Africans (Yanga SC) produced a slender 1-0 win over Geita Gold at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Thursday night.

Stephanie Aziz Ki has made the difference after netting in the 27th minute to help his side pocket maximum points. He received a palatable assist from Augustine Okrah whose V-pass inside the box was well connected into the back of the net by the Burkinabe.

It is his 13th goal of the season as he keeps chase for the golden boot at the end of the season.He is just one goal above Azam player Feisal Salum who has found the back of the net 12 times.

With the success, Yanga have annexed 52 points in 19 matches and are eight points clear at the summit of the table. Up next, Dar es Salaam Derby’ awaits as Yanga face Azam at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the city on Sunday.
