Friendly Why Broos was satisfied with Bafana Bafana draw against Andorra

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos insisted he was satisfied with what he witnessed from a new-look team against Andorra, although he bemoaned a lack of killer instinct up front.

Bafana were made to fight back from a goal down and could only equalise as 164th-ranked Andorra held them to a draw in Annaba, Algeria on Thursday night. With Elias Mokwana finding the only goal for his chargers in 25th minute, Broos felt the finishing let them down as they dominated proceedings from then onward.

“I’m satisfied, not with the result, I tried to win [against Andorra on Thursday], but I’m satisfied with the performance of this team. It’s a totally new team and I’m certainly satisfied about some players. They’ve given me much satisfaction and I think they are guys on which we can count on in the next games by in June and by the end of the year,” said Broos.

Bafana Bafana will travel back to Algiers in the coming days and a tougher assignment awaits them in this North African country’s capital when they face hosts Algeria on Tuesday.
