The first leg of the last qualifying playoff for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will take place on Friday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and South Africa.
Two of the strongest national female teams on the continent are competing against each other.
For the majority of the last forty years, the Super Falcons have ruled women’s football.

They have participated in every World Cup and won nine out of eleven African Championships.
But it looks like South Africa is taking the lead now that they have surpassed Cameroon and Ghana to become Nigeria’s main adversaries.
