The last two games of MTN8 quater-finals have been played on Sunday evening with Mamelodi Sundowns securing their semi-final slot on penalties against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Brazilians put themselves nearly into trouble after throwing a 2-0 lead away following Peter Shalulile and Themba Zwane’s goals.
Downs conceded two goals as Bernard Parker and Khama Billiat revived Kaizer Chiefs’ qualification hopes.
However, Manqoba Mngqithi’s men made it through to the semis following a display in penalty shoot-out (2-1).

Meantime, Cape Town City just need 90 minutes to send home Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu FC with Terrence Mashego and Mduduzi Mdantsane scoring the two goals which neutralized Lehlohonolo’s goal.
Earlier on Saturday, Golden Arrow saw off SuperSport United on penalties (2-2, 4-3) while Josef Zinnbauer’s Orlando Pirates who are title holders, bowed to Maroka Swallows 1-2.
