Oh no! We’re doomed! The penalty kicks last year against Zambia, Nigeria this year. Côte d’Ivoire has been removed from Afcon! They did not win again this year. With the risk of repeating myself on this blog, I was convinced they would be at the end.

They had all the qualities, all the players. It was a team at the end of the cycle, certainly, but who knew well each other! Who played with eyes closed, and who all the times in this competition.

Nigeria was the strongest. Respect. But I almost whine!

I felt good this Afcon. I wanted it to Didier Drogba who has contributed so much to the African football! He also awaited the ultimate culmination of a unique career! I was sure that we would bring it home. He, too, dreamed, he had said.

I will take several days to digest this. One should also ask questions while facing Nigeria which is a great team.

Should Sabri Lamouchi stay? Is he responsible for this failure?

Let me think, I’m still too shocked. I cannot realize yet, as Didier, Yaya. I think of them.

Thank you again for all the happiness they have brought us. And especially, may Ivory Coast digests quickly this failure, because it is actually a group that has lost. A new team should  take over.
