The Football Association’s decision to sell 18,000 tickets to Poland fans for the decisive world cup qualifiers match at Wembley has been defended by the England left-back Leighton Baines as reported by our fellows of BBC.
Baines said: ”If away fans add to the atmosphere the home fans produce, it just add to the occasion”
Leader of the group Hon 19 points, England will guarantee a place at Brazil 2014 if they register another victory after that of Friday while a draw or a defeat would open the door for Ukraine who is second on 18 points to be the leader.
Poland are entitled to 10% of the capacity but the FA took the decision to offer Polish fans 18,000 tickets in an attempt to stop them buying seats among home support.
