Africa World Cup U-17/Nigeria: Garba wants to stop Sweden on Tuesday

331186_heroaNigeria and Sweden meet again in the semi-final after having met earlier in their preliminary Group F match (3-3) of the World Cup U-17 currently in full swing in the United Arab Emirates.

After unlocking Uruguay in Saturday’s quarter-final match at the Sharjah FC Stadium courtesy of a brace by Taiwo Awoniyi, Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba said playing Sweden in the semi-final on Tuesday would be a dream match.

The coach declared having learned a lot from his last clash with the European team and wholehearted believes in an improvement this time of their style of play that will stop Sweden in the race for the title in Al Ain.

“I want to congratulate the boys for a job well done against Uruguay and Sweden should be ready for our fireworks in the semi-final match on Tuesday,” he said.

“We have learned so much playing against Sweden the last time but we shall be ready for them this time around.”
